Memasang Kubur

Setelah melakukan survey, aku rasa harga yang Man tawarkan agak berpatutan.

Sila tanya beliau dahulu.
  • Tiada cas pengangkutan dikenakan.
  • Harga kubur yg aku tempah itu RM650. Standard batu putih
  • Bayaran cash terus dibuat setelah kerja-kerja pemasangan dibuat.

Herbalife Nutrition World Workout Day

Pernah dengar Herbalife. Femes kot. Supplement product utk kesihatan dll. Anyway, aku bukanlah org kuat Herbalife atau pengguna produk ni. Tapi, aku ada follow fB 24FitChallenge - KL. Aku nmpk diorg post psl workout day ni dan yang penting, it was free.

So, aku sign up under team ni walapun tak kenal. Kira kental gak la aku ni. Of coz, aku ajak KAKA sekali. Biar lutut dia baik. Kata dh gatal nak main bola. Haruslah senam kasi muscle tu kuar and bole berlari lintang pukang semula on the field. Hmmm..

Mula2 tu cuak gak. Free registration tapi adakah aku kena purchase produk Herbalife? Nasib tak. Kenapa free?

Sehari sebelum event tu, aku practiced and guess what? Basah lencun gak. Semangat tul aku. Video tu mcm kt bwh ni:

So, on 7th March 2015, kami berkumpul kat KLCC Park utk mission ni. 9.00 pagi aku and KAKA dah tercongok dah kt KLCC Park sebelah Menara Exxon Mobil. Tengok2 macam x de org. Tapi nmpk gak kelibat peserta2 yg pakai baju hijau. Senang nak cam!

Ada gak yg selamba badak je pakai baju ikut suka sebab just nak join workout. Nasib aku ada baju ijau. KAKA plak mmg berlambak baju ijau. Nk jugak ikut temakan?

Yang penting, sblm start event ni, yg wajib mmg wefies. Disebabkan suami aku malu2 kucing, kami tak ngaku nk join workout lagi masa ni. Bior diorg selfie dulu baru dtg. Aku plak selfie dari keta. Cit!

Kami mmg tak ramai. Tapi mcm2 bangsa ada. Melayu, Cina, Korea, Awang Hitam, India dll. So, mmg berabuk speaking masa tu. Hahahhaha.

Sepatutnya workout ni diuulang 2 kali. Entah kenapa, deme wat sekali jek. Hmmm..tak kan aku nak bangkang, ikut suare majoriti yg dah penat tu ler. Tapi x pe, at least kuar gak peluh yang meleh2 tanpa henti tu. Pas abis tu, of course wefies time!

Itula gambar coach aku. Hensem tak? Hahaha. Dulu dia gemok katanya. I enjoyed working out with your team. He warmed welcome us and we really appreciated that. Kudos for the event. Eventhough it was not crowded enough, still we'd got the attention of others.

Oh...he did invite us for free snack/post workout meals. Since we were rushing on my cousin's wedding, so aku tolak pelawaan dia. Thank you so much for inviting us. Missed free workout meal! Perhaps, next year?

SelangorPlus Fun 5km Run

Larian murahhh...Untuk penyertaan, setiap kategori, peserta dikenakan bayaran sebanyak RM10 sahaja. Sangat berbaloi kerana 2000 peserta2 yang berjaya menghabiskan larian, semuanya berpeluang membawa balik  finisher medal. Yes, this was my first try running. I began with 5km running.

The event's promotion was quite awesome, the first 1500 early birds registration would entitle free t-shirts. Kenapa aku kata awesome, sebab event ni harganya murah RM10 ajer, dpt t-shirt, ada plak finisher medal and those first 2000 finisher will also receive certificate of participation on the spot. Only goodies bag not provided but I think it's okay since they had offered so many things in first place.

Back on the event's day which was held on 1st February 2015, I have to admit that semuanya berjalan ikut jadual. No janji 1Malaysia. Aku smpi 7.20 pagi event started betul2 7.30 pagi. I missed the aerobic warming up session which was held earlier. Rasa takut and serba salah nak parking semua ada. Paling takut kene saman. Hahahahaha.. Sbb dh lambat, kami redha je parking tepi jalan.

Smpi di garis mula, tiba2 dah start. Bayangkan! Aku warm up pun tidak. Kaki dh berjalan ni sebab running dah dimulakan. Tapi aku and husband relax2 dulu jalan2 slow2 sambil warm up. Pastu terus zassss.....Ceh, tak la laju mana aku. My very2 first time. Salute to organizer! Sebab tu aku terhegeh2 sampai kul 7.20 pagi.

Hahahaha. Mula2 rasa weird terpandang sorg pakai baju Melayu pastu bila berlari2 tgk ramai plak yang pakai baju pelik2, aku asume diorg ni dari persatuan ke apa. Selain dari tu, ko bole nmpk parents yg ada anak kecik lari sambil tolak stroller. Interesting. Baguslah. Salah satu cara utk keep a healthy lifestyle. Saya salute!

Pace aku takla laju mana and banyak kali gak aku tukar berjalan. Then, aku lari balik supaya hear beat sentiasa naik. Klu rendah, acaner nak burn calories banyak? Lupa nak citer, aku jugak kagum dengan bdk2 sekolah rendah yang lari2 siap pecut aku bagai. Bayangkan, aku rasa diorg darjah 2 or 3 macam tu. Bole plak lari jauh2. Tapi aku doakan gak diorg jadi runner. Mcm mat salleh, kecil2 dh ditrain utk jadi super!

Seorg tu rasanya darjah 2 or 3 and adiknya kecik sket mcm tadika gayanya. Bole plak mummy dia lari2 kt depan, harap abgnya jaga adiknya. Pastu dh smpi 3km berlari tak silap aku, adiknya merengek tak larat. Si abg tunggu. Last2 abg dukung adik kt belakang. Pleaselah parents, klu nk fit pun..jgn buat anak mcm tu. Kami yg tgk ni kesian. Ada akak tu siap offer lagi nk dukung adik tu.

Aku lari2 lagi and terjumpa mak bdk2 tu tadi. Dia stop tunggu anak2 dia. Klu aku jadi tmpt dia, mmg aku patah balik. Sebab polis trafic bukan ada sepanjang jalan. Konpn tak de. Sekali sekala je nmpk polis traffic pantau suruh ke tepi or jaga pelari yg nk cross jalan. First aiderpn x nmpk. Klu apa2 jadi pada anak, menangis tak berlagu weh. Aku harap, kalau aku jadi ibu, aku tak relax macam tu. Even aku jogging dgn adik or anak2 buah aku, mesti aku toleh belakang lepas beberapa minit. Ingat, dlm satu saat, apa2 boleh jadi.

Finally, last 1 km mmg aku laju sket. Itupn rasa nak tercabut lutut. First time katakan. Dengar plak org2 bersorak2 kata nak smpi, lagilah laju. Yang pastinya, aku nak medal!! Tak nak jadi org yg ke 2001, melepas jadinya! Smpi je garisan penamat, organizer bagi medal and certificate on the spot. Alhamdulillah, I finished my first run, dapat medal dapat cert. Excited. Husband aku sengih tunggu aku. Budget laju la tu. Nyampah.

Sementara dia borak2 dengan kawan2 dia, aku melepak dgn budak2 JK1M3. Rupanya, aku smpi paling akhir antara diorg. Tapi mmg patutpn sbb masa program JK1M3 dulu, memang aku antara org yg smpi hampir akhir kalau jogging. Bila tengok back to my own journey, aku tak rasa aku boleh lari smpi 5km. Jalan mungkin kot tapi lari? Oh, no..Even masa aku aktif poco2 dulu (masa tu slim sebelum join gemuk and berhenti poco gemuk balik) aku x pernah plak masuk event2 macam ni. Just pertandingan poco2 jea.

Peserta yang paling akhir sekali memang heaven! Org semua bersorak kat diorg! Merah2 muka. Percaya tak, banyak giler medal and cert kt organizer. Maknanya, peserta tak ramai or ramai org pgi event lain. Tak silap aku, masa fun run ni berlangsung, serentak dengan Nike We Run for KL 2015. Aku tengok, ramai gler pergi event Nike tu.

Wish me luck!

HTT267 - BUSINESS ETIQUETTE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS

BANQUET

INTRODUCTION

The catering profession as we know in the twenty-first century has a long and intriguing history, the beginnings of which are found in the ancient civilizations. The Egyptian nobility filled their tombs with foodstuffs and cookware to supply them in the next world, simultaneously covering the walls with murals designed to record food preparation styles and table settings.

From the records and art of the Greeks and Romans come depictions of banqueting scenes filled with food presentations, table customs, decorative arts, and recipes detailing a range of foodstuffs startling in its variety.

Recently, food and beverage segment represent a huge and vital part of the hospitality and tourism industry. Along with lodging, banquets play important role in contributing revenue. Food and beverage sales such as banquets become an important source of revenue and contribute almost equally to room hotel revenues as room sales.

As the business grows rapidly, many details go into managing banquet. Service, therefore, can comprise anything from grand function and conference to the booking of a folk-dance group that will entertain guests. In this assignment, all information regarding banquet will be discussed further:

  • What is Banquet?
  • How many types of banquet are there? What are the terms/names for each type of the banquet?
  • Define each term/name for each type of banquet.
  • Explain in detail all types of banquet available.
  • Advantages and disadvantages of the types of banquet available.
  • Example/Sample of each types of banquet.
A function or banquet is an organized event in the broadest sense, at which all guests eat the same meal at the same time. A banquet is also defined as a food and beverage service at a specific time and place, to a given number of people, to an agreed menu and price. Common types of functions include private family functions; business or corporate functions; and community, group, and association functions.

Banqueting is a business of selling space to hold functions. Banquets require large halls with attached kitchens to provide quantity foods and a banquet brigade who are skilled in the art of handling large group of people. Banquets halls are found in medium to large hotels, where banquets business is part of an overall revenue strategy.
The term banquet service applies to the service of large groups – all of whom should be served at the same time. This involves serving in a similar way to table service with the waiting staff watching for the head waiter to give the go-ahead to proceed with the service or clearing of each course. Banquets service is usually offered in hotels, resorts, country clubs, casinos, and restaurants.

In hotels, banquets are typically offered in a separate (function) room rather than in an a la carte dining room but restaurants do not typically have separate banquet facilities (although some do). Instead, they may specify an area of an a la carte dining room or, perhaps, have a separate small room to use for groups ordering from an a la carte menu or attending a sponsored banquet event. Generally, the banquet services are of two types- sit-down and buffet with formal, semi-formal and informal styles of service.

In formal styles, all degrees of formalities and protocols are maintained and therefore elaborate arrangements are required to be made. This should be strictly followed during the function. The service requires more planning, detailed preparation, and elaborate tableware than any of the other styles. Ensuring every detail set out is essential to make the atmosphere as formal, spic and span and welcoming as possible. Starting from the décor to furniture selection, its arrangement in the space, uniforms of servers, order of meals served, presentation of both meals and staff in a well communicated yet silent atmosphere.

Semi-formal style is slightly different when a part of the function is formal whereas the rest can be informal in its own sense. The function is conducted on formal lines followed by a get together dinner or lunch which is informal. This style is used more often than formal. The preparation and service of this style are not as elaborate as the formal style and require less time, facilities and personnel. The individual place settings are almost similar to those used for the informal style. Few centre items are used other than salt and pepper shakers, sugar bowls, and creamers. The method of serving meal items are distinguishes semi-formal from informal styles.

As for informal style of service, there is no set plan of seating to be followed. Apart from this, no formality is expected from the guest side in terms of maintaining the protocols. The style is set in a more casual environment, in a room or hall with fixed counters where guests choose what they want and help themselves partly or wholly, or they may be served by a waiter on table arrangements. Every arrangement provides on aura informality, a little personal touch, and an assurance of freshly prepared quality food. The functions normally include entertainment.
